We provide macro-injection treatments using the best equipment and techniques.
Oak wilt treatment starts with root crown excavation using an air spade to gently expose the flare providing access to injection points. The injection sites should be below grade if possible, and hand digging can be used for areas calling for little disturbance. Excavation can be very beneficial to tree health, and can also provide access to girdling roots and other issues that may be addressed at the time of treatment. Trees will be lightly raked or mulched depending on landscaping and location of the tree.
Macro-injection treatment for oak wilt is used to treat trees preventatively with fungicide prior to being challenged by oak wilt movement through the root systems. Macro applications are the preferred method of oak wilt treatment as injections are administered with low pressure systems and a high volume of water, helping to better distribute the fungicide throughout the tree. Therapeutic treatments can also be used for high value trees in efforts to save and prevent further decline.
